As I’ve mentioned before in previous blogs, engagement photo sessions can be super important! If you’re on the fence about booking an engagement session, I highly suggest scrolling down and reading our post about why we love them.
Because I think they’re so special and important, it’s also key to pick a place where you and your partner feel connected to or resonates with you. Below I am going to list a few of my favorites!
Your wedding venue
While this may seem obvious, it is great for so many reasons. It helps you and your photographer scout out places you want to have photos for your wedding day, and obviously it’s special to you because it’s where you will be tying the knot!
Downtown Charlotte
There are so many spots in downtown Charlotte that have different vibes, including Camp North End, a moody bar, Romare Bearden, or even just a parking deck with those skyline views! You can’t go wrong there and the options are endless! Other options include:
Freedom Park
NoDa
The Duke Mansion
Bechtler Museum of Modern Art
Midtown Park
The Ivy Place, Anne Springs Greenway, or something similar
If you and your partner don’t have the Uptown vibe, a relaxed photo session in nature is also a great idea! There’s something beautiful about a photo sessions surrounded by trees!
Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens
This place is absolutely beautiful and makes for amazing photos! While it’s not quite in Charlotte, it’s definitely worth making a trip for!
I hope this blog gives you some good ideas on where to start for an engagement photo session! Wherever you choose will be perfect for you and your partner.
