Sarah and Will are too cute for words! I was so excited when we started to plan their engagement session and Sarah said they were interested in incorporating an old flag. Will has proudly served multiple tours in the military and they are both very patriotic! This sparked my creative juices flowing and we all had a bunch of fun incorporating the flag into a variety of shots, while still capturing the fun spirit of the relationship that has brought the two of them together. Their wedding next spring at The Ivy Place is going to be so fun and beautiful, I just can't wait!

Carowinds Bridal Portraits | Fort Mill, SC | Mina /
Mina has been planning her wedding for awhile now and was soooo excited when she told me the idea she had for her bridal session. It completely matched not only her, but her wedding theme as well. Once we got the ok we were all set, only one problem the dress came in and unfortunately was all wrong. We had to postpone the session, and with only a couple weeks before her wedding, she had to get a whole new dress. I have to give it to Mina though, she had such a great spirit and really rocked her session! After hanging out on the carousel at Carowinds we headed back to her parents house and took pictures in her mother's amazing garden. We had so much fun, Mina is a blast to photograph and I am so excited to be a part of her big day today!
Special thanks to Julie and all the staff at Carowinds for making Mina’s dreams come true for her bridal session! It wouldn't have been possible without everyone’s help!

Sometimes when you meet people, you just instantly know your are going to be perfect for each other. That is exactly how it was with Jean & Cassidy. I remember going home from our consultation thinking about how much fun the two of them were and how excited I would be if they chose me to photograph their big day. We met in the evening and by the next morning I had already gotten the call that they chose me and was so honored! I also love when a bride keeps me in the loop on all things wedding, after all us girls love to know all the details, and Jean did that with me from the beginning. So when the wedding came I knew exactly what the day would look like and what shots I wanted to take, and the two of them gave me the creative ability to do my own thing! And the proof of that is in all the beautiful fun images below! Their wedding turned out gorgeous, and although it rained in the morning and we had to make a slight change in plans for the seating at the ceremony, the sun came out for a bit and gave us the most gorgeous sky! Jean and Cassidy are truly some of the most beautiful people I know, both inside and out; and their love for Christ before each other shows in the way they outwardly show their love for each other. I am so excited to see what the future holds for them! <3 yah Photography

It always makes me smile when someone tells me they love my work, because everything has a more candid feel and is not so “posey” but what a lot of people do not realize is that almost every shot has to start out in some sort of pose with a lot of direction. We are all not naturally smooth and candid, we feel awkward behind a camera especially because someone is watching our every move. With Andrew and Whitney this was the exact case. During our initial meeting, Andrew told me he didn’t want to be standing there putting their hands in the shape of hearts, and looking at each other with cheesy faces… and my response was “just trust me”. During the session I kept telling him just trust me and pulled out a variety of tricks I had under my sleeve to get the exact expressions I wanted, and their pictures turned out AMAZING! I cannot wait for their wedding next year in Charleston, the two of them will be just as much fun to work with down there!

It’s amazing to me how fast a year can actually go by. When first meeting David & Tamara in early 2012 it seemed like June 2013 was forever away. Then when Tamara and I got together to do her beautiful bridals we realized that June would be here before you know it…. And it did! Today is the day, and I am so happy for the two of them! I cannot wait to share in their big day, and am so happy that I can finally share her gorgeous bridal pictures with you!
