There is just something so magical about the wedding day! It is a day that the bride and groom have been waiting all year (sometimes more or less) for. Everything comes together so beautifully, everyone has fun, some people laugh, some people cry; and I just absolutely love to capture all of that on camera! That is exactly how David & Tamara's Wedding was, and I absolutely loved it! Leading up to the wedding Tamara and I met up a couple times, did her bridals, went over the wedding and all the while her father was very sick and had to take multiple trips to the hospital. Closer to the wedding as the two of us were finalizing the day she told me Kelli I do not think he is going to make it to the wedding. Staying strong she said my Uncle will be walking me down the aisle but we are going to try and have my dad there one way or another. When I arrived to The City Club on wedding day I was taken by surprised when I walked in to start taking pictures of the ceremony and saw an iPad on the sand ceremony table. Not really understanding I figured it might be something for the pastor to read off of (our pastor at church uses one on Sundays), and did not think anything more. Later on as the ceremony began, I realized that the iPad was propped up and that FaceTime was going! They were face timing with her father from his hospital bed so that he could be a part of the ceremony! It was such a sweet thing to do and I could not believe it. (See the pictures below) I know that although her father is still not in the best health that she will have a great and beautiful love story to share about not only marrying David, but also how her dad was able to be a part of their big day!

ASC Greenway Senior Portraits | Hanna | Fort Mill, SC | yah Photography /
I absolutely love it when I hear from my seniors that they picked me out of everyone else for well... me! When I get to the session it means we will instantly connect, and that is totally how it was with Hanna! She is the sweetest, person and loves to laugh and smile. One of the things that I love about her is that she plays lacrosse, which is totally awesome! I know Hanna will have an amazing senior year and I can't wait to hear what college she decides on, I know that no matter what she decides she will do great in it!
Ivy Place Engagement Session | Sara & Michael | Indian Land, SC Photographer | yah Photography /
There is nothing better than an old friendship being rekindled after a couple years and then leading to a lifetime of happiness with your best friend. This is exactly what happened with Sara & Michael! When they got together last year, Sara knew he was the one, and could not wait for Michael to propose. I love hearing these kinds of love stories from my brides because I can relate with them because my own love story was very similar. When Sara and I were planning her engagement session I knew the two of them would be so much fun to photograph. When it came down to that day I was so excited because not only did the weather co-operate but we had the most gorgeous sunset to play around with! I know Sara & Michael’s wedding at The Ivy Place next year will be beautiful, and I cannot wait to see Sara’s ideas for her big day come together!
Indian Land, SC Engagement Photographer | Sarah & Will | Ivy Place Events | Yah Photography /
Sarah and Will are too cute for words! I was so excited when we started to plan their engagement session and Sarah said they were interested in incorporating an old flag. Will has proudly served multiple tours in the military and they are both very patriotic! This sparked my creative juices flowing and we all had a bunch of fun incorporating the flag into a variety of shots, while still capturing the fun spirit of the relationship that has brought the two of them together. Their wedding next spring at The Ivy Place is going to be so fun and beautiful, I just can't wait!
Carowinds Bridal Portraits | Fort Mill, SC | Mina /
Mina has been planning her wedding for awhile now and was soooo excited when she told me the idea she had for her bridal session. It completely matched not only her, but her wedding theme as well. Once we got the ok we were all set, only one problem the dress came in and unfortunately was all wrong. We had to postpone the session, and with only a couple weeks before her wedding, she had to get a whole new dress. I have to give it to Mina though, she had such a great spirit and really rocked her session! After hanging out on the carousel at Carowinds we headed back to her parents house and took pictures in her mother's amazing garden. We had so much fun, Mina is a blast to photograph and I am so excited to be a part of her big day today!
Special thanks to Julie and all the staff at Carowinds for making Mina’s dreams come true for her bridal session! It wouldn't have been possible without everyone’s help!
